About Haut Gap
Haut Gap Middle School is a constituent magnet consisting of 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade college prep classes and 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade advanced academic magnet classes. In a positive and safe environment, our teachers are challenged to inspire and instill a love of learning.

Haut Gap Fine Arts
Haut Gap is proud of our:
- Steel Drums and Theatre class for middle-grade level students, in addition to Strings and Visual Arts
- Partnerships with local artists and the Gaillard Center for residency workshops with students.
- The Visual Arts program has multiple students who place and win the Charleston Marathon T-Shirt Design Contest.

Haut Gap invited Marcus Amaker, Charleston's First Poet Laureate to conduct a Poetry Workshop for our students.
It was a huge success! The students really enjoyed it!
